I-m a DJ. I mix suitable soundpieces and synchronise Electronic music for people to let them dance. On the other hand i-m a traveller. I have been in many parts of the world. I want to study people, culture and countries. To combine these two points of my work, i will build this mobile turntable unit Mobilvinyl as a postmodern form of a One-Man-Band-Drummachine. It-s an All-in-one unit: A pushcart, 2 Turntables, a DJ-Mixer, 2 Active-speakers, a Labtop, a Car battery and a 230V-12V-Transformer.
All together is Mobilvinyl, the tool to travel and present music in the public.
Mobilvinyl tingels through cities. It stops where people stop, it convenes people with open minds
and moving bodies. Mobilvinyl adopts the local sound. It calls for Resident-DJs to play their DJ-sets.
It aims the cooperation with Fashion-labels, Clubs, Galleries, Museums and other cultural institutions.
Mobilvinyl plays everywhere, but - like the streetmusicians - it prefers highly frequented, touristy,
public places for performance. In the end the passing people should not only listen passivley, but
communicate and dance. A perfect social sculpture in the sense of Josef beuys... |
